We seek to provide an inclusive environment, embrace diverse thinking and offer opportunities for our employees to grow professionally.

Welltower adamantly rejects any and all aggression or violence towards any individual or group of people based on their race, ethnicity, gender or religion.

Diversity and Inclusion

Welltower believes in building a workplace where our people thrive. We support an equitable and inclusive culture and promote physical, mental, social and financial wellbeing. The happier, healthier and more comfortable our employees are, the better we can serve all our stakeholders and communities. To carry out Welltower’s core values, the company launched its Welltower Diversity & Inclusion Council (“Diversity Council”) in 2019. Led by the Diversity Council, Welltower has encouraged and expanded its focus on demographic diversity within the workplace through the successful launch of several Employee Network Groups (ENGs), including the African American ENG, Armed Forces ENG, Hispanic ENG, LGBTQIA+ ENG, Parents ENG, Well+CORE Women’s ENG and Young Professionals ENG.

Welltower also honors multiple days and months for education and remembrance, including: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Memorial Day, Pride Month, Juneteenth and Hispanic Heritage Month.

As a part of Welltower’s continuing commitment to gender equality, we are proud to be included in the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for the fifth consecutive year. We remain devoted to fostering a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all. For more information on Welltower’s commitment to gender equality, review our October 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index Key Performance Indicators.

EEO-1 Report

  • The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requires employers to submit an EEO-1 report on an annual basis (the EEOC delayed the collection of data in 2019 and 2020 until 2021 due to COVID-19). The report breaks down an employer’s workforce by race, ethnicity and gender across job categories established by the EEOC. The data in the 2020 and 2019 reports was submitted to the EEOC in 2021. The EEOC opened the 2022 EEO-1 data collection portal in the Fall of 2023.
  • The data included in our EEO-1 report reflects our U.S. operations only per the scope of the EEOC.
  • The job categories in the EEO-1 report below are provided by the EEOC and encompass a broad range of Welltower job titles and levels. For reference, generally, the “Executives/Sr. Officials & Mgrs.” category reflects our Leadership Team; the “First/Mid-Level Officials & Managers” category reflects our employees who are Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents, Directors, Sr. Manager, Manager and others in similar roles; the “Professionals” category reflects our non-managers in a variety of roles; the “Administrative Support” category includes Executive Assistants, Administrative Assistance, Coordinators and Administrators; and the “Craft Workers” category reflects our Lead, Senior and Maintenance Technicians.

The Welltower Charitable Foundation

The Welltower Charitable Foundation (the “Foundation”) actively seeks to promote JEDI, employee engagement and the charitable passions of all Welltower employees. Since early 2016, Welltower and the Foundation have provided more than $42 million in cash and in-kind support to programs and communities that align with our philanthropic priorities. In 2020, the Foundation announced a new structure to include employee matching, corporate charitable grant initiatives and an allocation of funds to each ENG to make charitable contributions. Our most recent donations include organizations that support our core values of diversity, inclusion, community and the environment.
